01 | Start with the real service use
A paper cup is not selected by ounce size alone. Contents, temperature, holding time, delivery method and destination market guide the cup construction, coating, lid and testing needs.
- Drink or food type and temperature
- Dine-in, takeaway, delivery or sampling
- Capacity, holding time and destination country
- Lid, sleeve and accessory requirements
02 | Choose the wall construction before the finish
Single wall, double wall, ripple wall, paper bowls and ice-cream cups solve different service problems. Set insulation, handling, capacity and lid needs before discussing print and surface finish.
- Single wall for regular, faster service
- Double or ripple wall for improved hot-drink handling
- Wide, low formats for dessert or food
- For an unlisted format, provide a sample, photo or rim/base/height dimensions
03 | What a complete quotation should include
A useful quotation defines the same complete product and separates whole-order costs from per-cup or per-set prices.
- Construction, capacity, paperboard and coating
- Print colours, design count and special finishes
- Lids, sleeves and other components
- Pieces per sleeve/carton, carton size and marks
- Artwork, setup, samples and courier costs
- Currency, Incoterm and named place or port
04 | Confirm cup and lid as one set
The same ounce label or nominal rim diameter does not guarantee fit. Rim curl, material and forming variation affect closure, so approve the actual cup and matching lid before production.
- Record cup and lid reference numbers
- Check closure, opening, handling and tilt
- Confirm cup and lid quantities
- Repeat the check with the real drink and temperature
05 | Prepare artwork and samples by size
Printable areas differ by capacity. AI, PDF or EPS files are preferred; after technical review, approve the digital proof and arrange a physical sample where the project requires it.
- One layout for each capacity
- Logo, copy, colour values and orientation
- Outlined fonts or included font files
- Declare spot colours, heavy ink coverage or special finishes
06 | Put packing and delivery on the same comparison sheet
An ex-factory price cannot be compared directly with a delivered price. Review carton quantity, volume, responsibility and trade term together.
- Pieces per sleeve and carton; total cartons
- Carton dimensions, gross weight and CBM
- EXW, FOB or other term and named place
- Responsibility for inland haulage, customs, sea freight and destination charges
07 | Factory capability and documents matter too
XINMEI brings printing, forming, in-process review, packing and shipment coordination into one manufacturing system. An approximately 40,000 m² base, 30+ automated lines and paper-cup capacity of up to about six million pieces per day support multi-format and repeat-order work.
- Match the payee, company and manufacturing location
- Use the same references for samples, specifications and bulk orders
- Request documents by product and destination market
- Carry approved artwork, specifications and packing records into repeats
